The products that would become Gilda’s Gold began many years ago with its creators Gilda LaRue and Goldie Knight.

Gilda was a cosmetic chemist, committed to feeding the skin in efforts to promote regeneration. Her partner, Goldie, was a formulator dedicated to developing skin care products from only the finest natural ingredients. She insisted they use ample amounts of bioavailable, active ingredients to achieve this — something completely unheard of in the cosmetic industry.

Between Gilda’s chemistry and Goldie’s skill at unique formulations, the collaborative partnership was born. Together, over many years, they developed and perfected these products.

Gilda’s Gold contains only high-potency, natural ingredients, free of fillers, harsh alcohols, or volume expanders. Product testing fell to the skin of its creators and willing participants, which they had no problem whatsoever obtaining.

In 1996, I started selling these unique products to my girlfriends, (and a few enlightened male friends), in New Orleans where I lived. As an RN by profession, many of my customers were the nurses with whom I worked. I witnessed a dramatic change as their skin conditions improved, and their self-esteem grew from repeated compliments.

Nothing that I had ever used before even came close to the positive results obtained with Gilda’s Gold natural products. Even my father’s radiation-induced skin damage showed marked improvement. After witnessing the benefits he experienced in spite of those ravaging treatments, I started sharing our crèmes with some of my chemotherapy patients, all of whom benefited greatly.

I was mentored by Goldie over many years. As her only “daughter,” the gift of her life’s work was left to me, the next in line to carry on her legacy. In this light, I changed the company name to Gilda’s Gold as a reflection of its creators, Gilda and Goldie.

I am now the manufacturer of one-of-a-kind formulations made in small batches. These are, quite simply, some of the finest, nutrient-rich products in the world. We use top-quality, wholesome ingredients in high-potency amounts, and consequently see dramatic results.
